This Privacy Policy explains how Quix (“Quix”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Quix mobile app (the “App”). Quix lets you describe an app in plain language and generates a small, self-contained app you can run on your device and optionally publish to other users.
You can use the App with an anonymous session or with an email-based account. Authentication is handled by our backend provider, Supabase. If you create an account we store your email address and an account identifier. If you stay anonymous, we store only a randomly generated account identifier on our servers.
When you use Cloud mode (which spends credits), the text you type to describe or edit an app, your chat history for that app, and your first name (only if you chose to share it during onboarding) are sent to our AI provider, DeepSeek, to generate the result. When you use Free / on-device mode, generation runs entirely on your device using a downloaded model and your prompts are not transmitted to us or any third party.
Apps you generate are stored locally on your device. If you are a Pro user and enable always-on sync, the app code and metadata are also stored on our servers so you can restore them on another device. If you choose to publish an app to the Quix marketplace, the app bundle, its title, description, icon, and your chosen public handle are stored on our servers and shown to other users.
Credit and subscription purchases are processed by Apple or Google through in-app purchase. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and track entitlement status; RevenueCat receives a purchase token, your account identifier, and device/app metadata.
Free-tier users are shown ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may access your device advertising identifier and coarse usage signals to serve and measure ads, subject to your device privacy settings (for example, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency and Google’s ad-personalisation controls). Paid users are not shown ads.
We use Sentry to collect crash reports and error diagnostics (device model, OS version, a stack trace, and an account identifier). We also record basic in-app events (for example, “onboarding completed”, “app generated”, “app installed”) to our own Supabase database to understand feature usage. The App keeps a local log of errors thrown by apps you build; those logs stay on your device unless you explicitly use “Share app error logs” in Settings.
If you enable the daily reminder, we store a push notification token so we can deliver it. You can turn reminders off at any time in Settings.
Apps you generate can request access to your camera, photo library, location, and microphone / speech recognition. These are used on-device by the mini-app you created for the feature you asked for (for example, a QR scanner or a voice note). Quix does not collect or transmit camera, photo, location, or microphone data to our servers.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your prompts with advertisers.
We keep account data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and associated data from Settings → Delete Account; this permanently removes your account, credit balance, synced apps, and product events from our systems, and detaches you from any apps you published. Deletion requests are also honoured by emailing us at the address below. Backups and provider logs may persist for a short period before being overwritten. Published apps that you asked us to host may remain available unless you delist or delete them.
Quix is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights directly in the App, or by contacting us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses for such transfers.
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
